Sarah Lucas is one of the leading figures of the generation of young British artists who emerged during the 1990s. After studying at the Working Men's College and London College of Printing, she attended Goldsmith's College, where she participated in the seminal 1988 group show Freeze.This was followed by two solo shows in London in 1992, and her 1993 collaboration with Tracey Emin: The Shop, Bethnal Green Road. She has since exhibited and held residencies internationally. Lucas represented Great Britain at Biennale Arte 2015 in Venice with the acclaimed exhibition I SCREAM DADDIO. Her most recent solo presentations include  INNAMEMORABILIAMUMBUM, La Fondazione Nicola Trussardi (2016), and POWER INWOMAN, Sir John Soane’s Museum, London (2016). Her work is also housed in a number of national and international collections, including the Tate, London; the Museum of Modern Art, NewYork; Museum Boymans-van Beuningen, Rotterdam; Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; and Portikus Frankfurt, Germany.
