17. Due to government legislation, Cure3 is obliged to perform identity checks on high value orders. If a buyer purchases over £8,000 worth of artwork online this is defined as a high value order. If the artwork you are purchasing is over the threshold, a deposit of £8,000 will be taken through the website to secure the work. Cure Parkinson’s will then get in touch with the purchaser within 5 working days to take the remaining payment, perform the AML checks and complete the sale. The £8,000 deposit will secure the work for the purchaser, with release of the work pending successful completion of the remaining payment and AML checks. For the AML checks, Cure3 will require a copy of a valid photo identity document such as a passport, driving licence or national ID card. Where that identity document does not contain a residential address, additional proof of that is required, in the form of a bank or utility bill or other official correspondence, dated within the previous three months. If you are buying on behalf of a company, you will need to provide the company details including evidence of incorporation, directors and the ultimate owner. If you are an agent / advisor acting on behalf of a buyer, you will need to provide your details and those of the buyer. Payments will need to be received from the bank account of the buyer – that is an account held in the name of the person or company named on the order. In the instance that the AML checks should fail, the full deposit will be refunded to the purchaser. Any information provided during the above process will be processed in accordance with our privacy policy and will remain secure and confidential. For full information on AML legislation and requirements, please visit the UK government anti-money laundering guidelines directly.

If you should have any further questions regarding AML processes for Cure3, please contact Cure Parkinsons directly: toby@cureparkinsons.org.uk, +442038296384.
