Sean Henry's sculptures explore the tension between the staging of figures that seemingly inhabit our world and the extent to which they evoke our experiences. Henry avoids life-sized representation and explores sculpture’s narrative potential through the use of both single and multiple figures, contemporary iconography, and the suggestion of psychological presence.

Henry was the first sculptor to win the Villiers David Prize (1998), and his work is exhibited regularly in Europe and America. His sculpture can be seen at the National Portrait Gallery, London; Ekebergparken Sculpture Park, Oslo; Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, Michigan as well as in public spaces in London, Northumberland, Stockholm, Oslo, Bad Homburg and Eschborn.
