For Cure3 2025, Jock has contributed the most wonderful painting of a very dapper greyhound speeding along in what might be perceived as the latest electric car, but upon closer inspection, the minimalist driving wheel is actually painted like a wish bone and the sides of the car are planks of wood. In these non-stop, ever-changing times we find ourselves in, this playful work is perhaps suggesting a step back, to slow down and consider what is really important.
Maybe a sign that as the world speeds up, everything is turning on its head, our lives are becoming delusional and we need to start the process of slowing down, thinking and working out what is really important.
